Notes for our patients As a patient at Capital Imaging, we make every effort to ensure a comfortable scanning process and pleasant experience. Our staff is prepared to answer any questions you may have regarding your appointment and ease any concerns you may have. MRI is a simple procedure with no known side effects and no need for special preparation. Patients can: Eat normally prior to the procedure Take any prescription medications or pain medications unless otherwise directed by a physician Bring a companion or parent into the scanning room Patients with medical implants should tell their doctor and MRI technologist before the MRI. Pregnant women should also consult with their doctor before scanning. All patients must be referred by a physician.
